WordPress self hosted is the #1 Blog Publishing Platform and in my opinion the most powerful. WordPress is free and easy to customize.
There are millions of blogs running WordPress (About 11% of all websites in the world) so if you encounter a problem with your WordPress site you can just Google it and find someone who has blogged about the answer.
All of my blogs use WordPress, and I have written an Article about Getting Started with WordPress. You will need to pay for a Hosting account to get started with a self-hosted blog.

Premium WordPress Themes
I recommend Elegant Themes if you want great looking themes for an awesome price.
Check out my post Finding a Fantastic WordPress Theme for both free and paid theme options, but keep in mind that if you go with a free theme there will be thousands of other sites out there that look very similar to your own.
Godaddy is my host for most of my websites and I have had a good experience with them during the several years that they have hosted sites for me. I have called them many times and I have always had my problem resolved.
The Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) is Reliable internet storage, this is hosting in the cloud, and is ideal for large files like podcasts and videos, so you don’t create bandwidth problems on your own website.
Product Distribution & Shopping Carts
Clickbank is a massive online information marketplace. Clickbank has paid out over $1.7 billion dollars in earnings. Clickbank is a great place to find products to promote as an affiliate, and a great place to put your product if you want affiliates to promote it.
e-Junkie is a service that is compatible with Paypal Standard, Paypal Pro, Google Checkout, Authorize.net, TrialPay, Clickbank & 2CheckOut. This service has a very low price to use, and comes with a decent affiliate program that is used by many bloggers.

Aweber is the main Email Marketing solution that I use and highly recommend.

SEO & Keyword Research
Free SEO Software - Traffic Travis is excellent SEO software that you can download for free. There is a premium version of this software as well but most of the features are included in the free version.
Free Keyword Tool – The Google Keyword Tool: Where better to get keyword ideas then from Google themselves. This tool is designed to help you decide what keywords to use for your Adwords campaigns, and it will also show you how many people search for keywords every month so that you can get an idea of what keywords to optimize for.
WordTracker Free Keywords Tool: Spits out a number for the popularity of a keyword of your choice. Search volume numbers can be compared to find the perfect niche, or to choose keywords for your blog posts.
Seo Book Keyword Suggestion Tool: Another fantastic keyword research tool, with even more information and numbers to compare and select the perfect keywords.
Seo Keyword Ranking: An excellent tool to keep track of the keywords you’re working on. Excellent interface and really easy to use.
Any successful expert you talk to will tell you that Masterminding is a key component to their success. That is why I recommend surrounding yourself with other people who are also interested in achieving internet success.
The Warrior Forum is a place where I go to mastermind, learn, and engage with other Internet Marketers. The Warrior Forum is the best known forum for Internet Marketers on the web.
Check out Meetup.com and see if you can find a meetup near you where you can network and mastermind with other people in your niche!
99designs is an awesome way to outsource design work. The way this works is you put up a project and a price you’ll award to the best design and then designers compete to create the coolest design.
Odesk is an outsourcing website for freelancers, IT companies, programmers and web designers from abroad.
eLance is a smart place to find great people, check their progress, and pay them for the results.
Fiverr is a place where you can find people willing do do services for five bucks. You can find people in here willing to code for latte money.
Scriptlance connects businesses with programmers. If you are looking to get some programming work done this is a great place to start.
Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion by Robert B. Cialdini. There are some excellent research and studies explained in this book that will help you understand the psychology behind decision making. This book can seriously help you build your business, and I highly recommend it.
The Four Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss. Tim shares some great strategies that hopefully you and I both can implement to work smarter join the “New Rich.” Tim has a new book out called The 4-Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex, and Becoming Superhuman and I plan to read it very soon!
The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. This book gives historical lessons of power, and these examples have stood the test of time. Not only will you learn about power, you will also get an entertaining history lesson in the process.
