You probably know about GoDaddy already. The GoDaddy advertising style is based around hot GoDaddy girls. The ads are not what got my business but I’m not complaining either.
I have had to call GoDaddy various times with different domain and hosting and I have always talked with a friendly and knowledgeable person on the other end of the line.
Another GoDaddy tip is that they have a toll free number you can call, but they don’t advertise it on the site.
The toll free number is 1-866-Godaddy.
Usually if I have an issue I don’t even need to call, and can deal with it myself. Since GoDaddy has so many customers there is a wealth of information online with step by step tutorials for almost every scenario.
I use coupon codes whenever I buy something from GoDaddy, and I have always been able to find active codes on the coupon website FatWallet.
GoDaddy also has great technology, such as a java web browser based file transfer program that allows you to transfer files to your domain quickly and easily even if you are on a machine that does not have ftp software like Filezilla installed.
If you want to install a web application like a forum or a @Wordpress self-hosted blog like this one, Godaddy offers a free web application install center called the GoDaddy Hosting Connection that makes installing web apps very easy to do. Well over one million free web apps have already been installed via the GoDaddy Hosting Connection.
I’m very happy with Godaddy, and if you choose them as a web host I’m sure you will be too.
Who do you use as a web host? Are you happy with your web host? Would you recommend your web host, and if so, why?
